About The Department:
The Department of Civil Engineering pulls out all stops to create outstanding engineers - with advanced teaching techniques and learning aids for undergraduate students and state of the art research facilities. Students are not only made experts in technical aspects but also in interpersonal skills, a vital ingredient to excel in the fast-paced world.
The strength of students was enormous and it helped to widen the faculties of civil Department. The students of our department are disciplined, punctual and dedicative and this encouraged the faculties to reproduce their knowledge and thoughts easily to their students. Due Co-operation of students the academic record was good. Well talented and experienced faculties were appointed and by their extra-ordinary teaching, the students got inspired and well placed. The books related to civil Engineering were available in abundance in the library. The books needed for competitive exams were also available. Well equipped laboratories were provided to improve student’s practical knowledge.
Civil Engineering graduates are the pillars in the current and emerging infrastructure era. Opportunities include pursuing Master of Civil Engineering in reputed Universities of U.S. and taking up research assignments in Products, Buildings and Material Engineering. The department aims to provide students with strong conceptual foundations and also expose them to the forefront of the development in the field of computing. A common thread of technological innovation weaves throughout the department and every member of the faculty.
Civil Engineering is one of the broadest and oldest of the engineering disciplines, extending across many technical specialties. Civil Engineers plan, design, and supervise the construction of facilities essential to modern life like space satellites and launching facilities, offshore structures, bridges, buildings, tunnels, highways, transit systems, dams, airports, harbors, water supply system and waste water treatment plants. A civil engineer is responsible for planning and designing a project, constructing the project to the required scale, and maintenance of the project. A civil engineer requires not only a high standard of engineering knowledge but also supervisory and administrative skills.Our Vision
