The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has been established in 2002 with an intake of 60 students and was granted additional intake of 60 students in the year 2010- 2011. The Department is equipped with huge infrastructure and all facilities with highly qualified & experienced Staff to cater the need for intake of 120 students. The department has dedicated 50 Mbps internet leased line for connecting all departments and their laboratories to share the information at the finger tip. The laboratories are well equipped with licensed software. The Department has also signed the Microsoft Academic Alliance Program which gives access to all the latest software by Microsoft. The latest branded i3 and i5 computers plus the dedicated IBM X series servers, printers and scanners make the IT experience, a truly world class.
The Department is headed by Prof. M. S. Khatib (M.E - CSE, PhD Pursuing) having Experience of 21 years.
The Department has always been on a high growth path and has given rank holders and many placements with the contribution of experienced and dedicated faculty with a strong commitment to engineering education. To keep pace with the current technological trends the Department conducts various Competitions, Aptitude tests on recent trends in technology. Various training programs have organized to acquaint the students and faculty with the practical tools required in the curricula. Also on-line exam of UPSC, GPAT, GMAT etc. are conducted under the franchises of APTECH and TCS.
In 2015 Department had organized 2nd International Conference on Advances in Engineering and Technology ‘ICAET-15’ at Hotel Sun-n-Sand which got tremendous participants with international level industry and Academic Expert. The conference had received an overwhelming response from all the corners of the country
Department has its student forum named “KRANS” and committee of the student Office bearers of the “Computer Society of India” under which various events and activities are conducted for the betterment of students.
