- The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in September 2006 affiliated to Gauhati University. Since 2013, B.Tech degree programme has commenced and is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU). The curriculum with 48 courses / 37 practicals / 239 credits cover core subjects of Basic Sciences, Mathematics, Humanities and Technology besides vital aspects of Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering with particular emphasis on various fields of Communication Engineering. Student gets hands-on experience through numerous practicals / seminars / Industrial training / projects. The motto is quality education.
