- DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was incepted in the year 2007. The department offers an effective curriculum which is a judicious mixture of Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering. This course enables students to imbibe concepts of two vital fields of technology in one course. The department has a dedicated, qualified faculty and staff who extend an ambience of effective teaching and learning. The faculty of the department support R&D activities like paper publications, guidance to post graduate and Ph.D. candidates. The department has established many laboratories to cater to the needs of the present day syllabus. The department has Microprocessor/Microcontroller laboratory, Linear integrated circuits and applications laboratory, Digital Electronics laboratory, Digital Signal Processing Laboratory, Advanced Electronics laboratory, Analog Electronics laboratory and a Computer center. Also, other laboratories like Power system laboratory, Control System Laboratory, Electrical machinery laboratory, Electrical measurements laboratory, High voltage laboratory and Power electronics lab etc., are common to Electrical and Electronics Engineering department and department of Electrical Engineering. Software packages viz., MATLAB, Turbo C, C++, MULTISIM and various simulators are available at the computer center of the department. The department has a good WI-FI connectivity and Internet facility. The department has a student association named Electrical and Electronics Engineering Association EEEA. The activities of the association include extra, co-curricular and technical activities to inculcate creativity, out of the box` thinking and integrity among students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Mission To educate the students by inculcating vivid fundamental concepts and skills. To provide dynamic and disciplined environment with rich cultural, ethical and social sensitiveness. To equip the students to perform effectively as professionals in various fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Vision To impart education and transform students into competent professionals in Electrical and Electronics Engineering to excel in various challenges to serve society. Short-term Goals To enable students acquire basic theoretical as well as practical concepts in the field of Electrical and Electronics. To encourage overall personality development of the students of the department. To enable students develop the basic skills in software programming. To inculcate within students a sense of awareness and moral responsibility towards society. Highlights The department organized a workshop of two weeks duration sponsored by NMEICT on CONTROL SYSTEMS. The department conducted BITCON 2015 national conference on Leading Edge Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department hosted events like Artistix, Dance and singing competitions etc., in the inter-college mega event OJAS of the institute. Students of the department have proved their mettle in End semester as well as competitive examinations and have brought laurels to the department and the institute.
