The department of civil engineering was establishment in 1983 with the inception of the institute. It offers an undergraduate course in civil engineering with an intake capacity of 120 students and post graduate course in structural engineering with intake capacity of 18 students. The department is twice accredited by NBA and ISO 9001:2008 certified.

The department has 12 most advanced and well equipped laboratories which are recognized for carrying out doctoral research work by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The department of civil engineering of the institute is one of the oldest and richest departments by virtue of highly qualified and experienced faculty and in this part of the country.
